Learn The Runes connects you with the history & magic of the runes while also providing you with unique, rune related merchandise.
Our rune card decks & merchandise utilize The Elder Futhark. This is the oldest form of the runes & is the easiest to learn & use. The Elder Futhark is the oldest runic alphabet, in use between the 2nd & 10th centuries. It was primarily used in southern Scandinavia, northern Germany, & Frisia by Germanic speakers. It is the basis for all other runic alphabets.

Adair Sullivan
was fascinated by the runes since she was a teenager & slipped her first Mjollnir around her neck. Long before shows like Vikings made their debut, & in a decade far removed from today’s cosplayers, this Gen Xer was wearing a valkyrie helmet and carving runes out of cherrywood branches from her backyard. Pouring over books about runes, & Celtic/Scandinavian art , she began to wonder how she could use this insight along with her creativity to help others & honor the Old Ways. Inspired by her ancestors, Adair wants to share the runes’ mystery & power with you.
